•The Pilot Club of Babylon founded its Start School Right program for students. Back in the 1980s, Pilot was the only group to help provide students in need with both school supplies and clothing. Now many organizations help provide school supplies. I haven’t heard of any group other that the Pilot Club in providing kids with new clothing for school, as well as supplies. Pilot needs your support to help these kids in need. Please send a check made out to Pilot Club of Babylon in any amount you can afford to Pilot Club at P.O. Box 231, in Babylon, NY 11702.

•On Sat., September 15, the Babylon Fire Department will host the Babylon Town Fire Parade, right here in the village. All are welcome to join the fun.

•102.3 WBAB Presents: The 11th Annual Long Island Police Tug-Of-War Championship, a benefit for Hope for the Warriors. It’s Friday, September 14 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Overlook Beach, Town of Babylon Park. It’s Nassau vs. Suffolk for County Pride and the Championship Cup! Come see 2017 Champions Suffolk County Police Department, Suffolk County Correction Officers Association, Suffolk Deputy Sheriffs (undefeated!) and Nassau Women of Law Enforcement try to hold on to their titles for another year! Admission is free and all ages are welcome! All proceeds benefit the Hope for Warriors.
