Frederic Searle Wood, a former resident of Babylon Village who graduated from Babylon High School, died in Marietta, Ohio, July 4, 2018. He was 90 years old.  Mr. Wood was born Sept. 16, 1927 in Bay Shore, to Frederic Jarvis and Jessica Searle Wood. After attending Babylon High School, he joined the U.S. Navy in August of 1945 and was stationed in the Pacific until June of 1946.
