Police nab graffit artist

Police arrested a Babylon man was arrested for vandalism after police said he spray painted at least 15 businesses in Babylon Village.

Police gave this account:

Over the span of two months, between December 1, 2017 and Feb. 6, 2018, numerous businesses and municipal properties in Babylon Village were spray painted with “NES” tags. Following an investigation by First Precinct Crime Section officers, Joseph Cassidy was identified in connection that vandalism.

  Cassidy, 37, of 139 Midway St., Babylon, was charged with 9 counts of Making Graffiti, a Class A Misdemeanor. He was held overnight at the First Precinct and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on February 13.
