Police seek public's help in apprehending man who passed countefeit $100 bills

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives asking the public to assist them in identifying and locating a man who used counterfeit money at a Deer Park store.

Police gave this account: The subject used counterfeit $100 bills to pay for a drill and drill set, valued at more than $320, at Home Depot, 475 Commack Rd., on April 27 at approximately 8:30 p.m. The man was described as black and in his middle to late 20s. He fled in a late model dark-colored, possibly black, Nissan Sentra.  

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
