Although Long Island is known for having solid boys and girls basketball, it is not particularly known for producing top talent at the Division I level.  Lauren Williams, formerly of North Babylon, is one of the few players that played at the collegiate level’s top rung. The 2016-17 season was her first at Stony Brook University.
