Meeting of the qualified voters of the Deer Park Union
Free School District, Town
of Babylon, Suffolk County,
New York, will be held at the
Deer Park Public Library,
44 Lake Avenue, Deer Park,
New York on April 04, 2017
at 10:00 a.m., prevailing
time, for the purpose of
voting by ballot upon the
following items:
(1)To adopt the Annual Library District Budget for the
fiscal year 2017-2018 and
to authorize the requisite
portion thereof to be raised
by taxation on the taxable
property of the Deer Park
Union Free School District:
and
(2)To elect one (1) Trustee of
the Deer Park Public Library
to fill a five (5) year term
commencing July 1, 2017
and ending on June 30, 2022
as a result of the expiration
of the term of office presently held by Joyce Peisker

the purpose of voting at
such a meeting on April 4,

21, 2017 except Saturdays,

New York during the operating hours of the Library;

HEREBY GIVEN, that personal registration of voters is
required pursuant to Section
2014 of the Education Law
or pursuant to Article 5 of
the Education Law. If a voter
has heretofore registered
pursuant to Section 2014 of
the Education Law and has
voted at any Annual or Special District meeting within
the past four (4) years, such
voter is eligible to vote at
this election; if a voter is
eligible and registered to
vote pursuant to Article 5
of the Election Law, such
voter is also eligible to vote
at this election. All other
persons that wish to vote
must register. The Board of
Registration will meet for
the purpose of registering
all qualified voters of the
District pursuant to Section
2014 of the Education Law
on Saturday, March 25, 2017
between the hours of 10 a.m.
and 2 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 between
the hours of 4 p.m. and 8
p.m., prevailing time at the
Deer Park Public Library,
44 Lake Avenue, Deer Park,
New York to add any additional names to the register
to be used at the aforesaid
election/vote, at which time
any person will be entitled
to have his/her name placed
on such register, providing
that at the meeting of the
Board of Registration he or
she is known, or proven to
the satisfaction of the Board
of Registration to be then or
thereafter entitled to vote at
such Special District Meeting for which the registers
are prepared, and that the
registers so prepared pursuant to Section 2014 of
the Education Law of the
State of New York and the
registration list prepared by
the Board of Elections will
be filed in the Office of the
Director of the Library and
will be open for the inspection by any qualified voter
of the District between the

for the office of Trustee of
the Deer Park Library shall
be filed in the Office of the
Director of the Library, at
the Library, 44 Lake Avenue,
Deer Park, not later than
Monday, March 6, 2017
which petition shall be filed
between the hours of 9 a.m.

and 5 p.m. prevailing time
Monday to Friday. Each
petition must be directed to
the Library Director, must
be signed by at least twenty
five (25) qualified voters of
the Library district and must
state the residence of each
signer and the name and
residence of the candidate.
FURTHER NOTICE IS

Law, absentee ballots for
the election of Trustee of

appropriation of the necessary funds to meet the estimated expenditures of the
Copiague Memorial Public
