Man robs bank in Babylon

A man walked into the People’s United Bank in Babylon yesterday, approached a teller and displayed a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating the robbery that occurred at 5:20 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white male 25- to 35-years-old, approximately six feet tall, and175-200 pounds. He was wearing a black nylon bomber jacket, blue jeans and a black knit hat.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
