NYC Corrections Officer Recruit arrested and charged with selling drugs in Masspapequa

The Nassau County Police Department’s Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a West Babylon man for Criminal Possession and Sale of a Controlled Substance that occurred in Massapequa on Fri., Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m.

 According to Narcotics Vice Squad detectives, on Sat., Jan. 21, at 3:30 pm, New York City Corrections Officer Recruit Rushauney R. Stephenson, 24, of 7 Essex Street, sold and possessed a quantity of cocaine to an undercover detective for an agreed amount of money.

 On Sat., Jan. 21, at 4:07 p.m. Recruit Rushauney R. Stephenson sold and possessed a quantity of cocaine to an undercover detective.

 On Fri., Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m. Narcotics detectives with the assistance of the New York City Department of Corrections Investigations Division located the defendant at the New York City Correctional Academy, which is located at John Jay College in Manhattan and placed him into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.

 Correction Officer Stephenson is charged with two counts of Criminal sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. He was arraigned on Sat., Jan. 28, at First District Court in Hempstead.
