Police asking for public's help in apprehending serial robber

Suffolk County Police Major Case detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Lindenhurst and is part of a larger robbery pattern in Suffolk and Nassau Counties that began March 1.

Police said a man entered Subway at 66 Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst Wed., May 18, at approximately 9:45 p.m., and threatened an employee with a knife and stole the register drawer containing cash. The employee was not injured and the man fled on foot. 

Detectives have determined that this man is the same person who robbed three other businesses in Suffolk County and 13 businesses in Nassau County, including a Carvel on Montauk Highway, Copiague on April 5.
