Local library budget vote and trustee election results

Voters in the Town of Babylon approved all of their library budgets in a vote yesterday.

In Babylon, the vote was 177 to 23 and incumbent Trustee Frank Fronzo  was reelected with 169 votes.

In Copiague, the vote was 14 to 14 and incumbent Trustee Mary Haughey was reelected  with 136 votes.

In Deer Park, tax levy, that portion of the budget that is paid for by real property taxpayers, for the coming year is the same as the current year at $2.98 million, so the question was not on the ballot. Two candidates were elected to the library board, William Celona and Dorothy Weissgerber who garnered 49 and 54 votes respectively.

In Farmingdale, voters approved the budget 236 to 61 and incumbent Trustee Laura Ulric was reelected with 131 votes.

In Lindenhurst, the vote was 138 to 14 and incumbent Trustee Lori-Ann Novello was reelected with 131 votes.

In North Babylon, voters approved the budget 112 to 25. Trustee Ronald J. Wroblewski was reelected with 124 votes.

In West Babylon the budget was approved 111 to 13. Trustee Richard Harty was reelected but the number of votes he garnered was not available.

In West Islip, voters approved the budget 289 to 455. Trustee and Vice President of the board Margaret Bell was reelected to a live-year term with 321 votes.
