Schaffer says "thank you" on behalf of town residents

Acknowledges state lawmakers' work in securing tax rebates

Yesterday, Babylon Town Supervisor Richard Schaffer held a press conference to extend a “thank you” to local state lawmakers for their work in securing the money needed to fund the New York State tax rebate checks that have gone out to property owners within the past few weeks.

“It’s always nice to say ‘thank you,” said Schaffer as he and the members of the New York State Assembly and Senate representing Babylon residents in Albany gathered on the steps of Babylon Town Hall for the conference. “Politicians always hear negative complaints and never get a word of thanks, so we here in the Town, on behalf of our residents, want to thank our Senate and Assembly delegation for the money they secured for these tax rebate checks that were sent out to the residents throughout the Town of Babylon.

Shown at the event with Schaffer and other Town officials are NYS Senators Phil Boyle and Michael Venditto and NYS Assemblymen Joseph Saladino, Chad Lupinacci, Andrew Raia and Kimberly Jean-Pierre.
