Dear Editor: It was discouraging to read the letter by Mr. Kotz (Jan. 11, 2012) and the foreboding he expressed if our fellow Americans continue to ignore religious doctrine. On many days, just reading the newspaper or watching a newscast leaves me with a similar feeling.
