The Beacon newspaper is sorry to announce the death of longtime Beacon columnist and former Editor Jane Warren.

For many years, Jane Warren kept Babylon Village informed on the comings and goings of friends and neighbors through her column, Heard it on the Grapevine.

Mrs. Warren will repose at Chapey Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Highway, in West Islip, on Thursday, Sept. 2, from 2 to 4:30 p.m., and 7 to 9:30 p.m.

A funeral mass will be said at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Babylon, , Friday, Sept. 3 at 9:45 a.m.
