North Babylon High School raises 20K in memory of late librarian

Mary Murphy died of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, five years ago. But the students of North Babylon High School still remember the late librarian – even if they’ve never met her. This year, the high school collected more than $20,000 for ALS in honor of their former librarian. The school has raised more than $150,000 for the cause since her death in 2005.
