Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer honored the efforts of both officers and civilians at the department’s 45th Annual Awards Ceremony at the Van Nostrand Theatre in Brentwood on May 12. Awards were given to police officers and civilians who have acted heroically or performed their duties exceptionally during the past year.
