West Babylon and Wyandanch budgets fail; all other local school budgets get voter okay

Following a few tense minutes, West Babylon School District budget supporters got the news. Their school budget was rejected by a 185-vote margin, one of only ten districts on Long Island to have its budget rejected by voters. And while the statements following the announcement were pragmatic, the disappointment on their faces was clear.
