Babylon School District approves new budget; tax rate increase at 1.93 percent

The Babylon Board of Education unanimously adopted the 2010 – 2011 budget at its meeting Mon., April 12. The plan calls for a 2.43 percent increase in spending and a projected tax rate increase of 1.93 percent or an additional $3.53 for every $100 of total assessed valuation, less adjustments for applicable exemptions.
