Longtime Babylon Village resident, wife, mother and grandmother Phyllis Girardi died Jan. 22, 2010 at Our lady of Consolation Residence in West Islip. She was 85. She was born July 3, 1924 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Mary and Tom Quelly and moved to New York in 1948 after marrying her husband Dominick. They lived on Litchfield Ave. in Babylon Village for more than 50 years.
