Babylon H.S. Athletes sign letters of intent with Dowling and Tampa U.
Recently, two Babylon High School students were selected to sign letters of intent to play on athletic teams at some of the top institutions of higher education.
“I am very proud of each of these students,” stated Director of Counseling Tracy Lesnick. “Theyhave constantly striven for excellence – both on and off the athletic field.”
Dylan Hopkins, will play lacrosse for Dowling College, and Heather Glenday signed with the University of Tampa, where she will be a member of the swim team.
Hopkins has competed on Babylon’s varsity lacrosse team since the tenth-grade and is a dedicated member of the student body. He is a member of the Student Council, Class Cabinet, High Honor Roll and Athletic Club. He is also active in the area of community service.
Heather is an avid swimmer, winning during the Empire State Games Championship in tenth grade. Additionally, she is a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and President of the Business Honor Society. She has also been named to the High Honors Principal’s List and is an active member of DECA and the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.
