In addition to seeking assistance from an attorney or legal aid office, there are government agencies and non-profit organizations that you may contact for information about possible options, including trying to work with your lender during this process. To locate an entity near you, you may call the tollfree helpline maintained by the New York State Banking Department at 1-877-BANKNYS (1-877-226-5697) or visit the department’s website at WWW.BANKING.STATE. NY.US. FORECLOSURE RESCUE SCAMS Be careful of people who approach you with offers to “save” your home. There are individuals who watch for notices of foreclosure actions in order to unfairly profit from a homeowner’s distress. You should be extremely careful about any such promises and any suggestions that you pay them a fee or sign over your deed. State law requires anyone offering such services for profit to enter into a contract which fully describes the services they will perform and fees they will charge, and which prohibits them from taking any money from you until they have completed all such promised services. § 1303 NOTICE NOTICE YOU ARE IN DANGER OF LOSING YOUR HOME If you do not respond to this summons and complaint by serving a copy of the answer on the attorney for the mortgage company who filed this foreclosure proceeding against you and filing the answer with the court, a default judgment may be entered and you can lose your home. Speak to an attorney or go to the court where your case is pending for further information on how to answer the summons and protect your property. Sending a payment to your mortgage company will not stop this foreclosure action. YOU MUST RESPOND BY SERVING A COPY OF THE ANSWER ON THE ATTORNEY FOR THE PLAINTIFF (MORTGAGE COMPANY) AND FILING THE ANSWER WITH THE COURT. DATED: February 18, 2010 Steven J. Public Notice

Notice for Final Public Review of a Proposal in the 100-year Floodplain:

This is to give notice that the Long Island Green Homes Program of the Town of Babylon has submitted an application to the Department of Energy for a proposal to make retrofitted energy efficiency renovations to homes within the Town of Babylon which may also be in the coastal flood zone.

Potentially thousands of parcels of land can be affected by the proposed action, which may be located within the floodplain area. All structures will be pre-existing sites and the proposed actions will only include retrofitted home improvements and not any actual structural changes to the property.

Thisnotice also serves as the Notice for Final Public Review of a Proposal in the 100-year Floodplain. This notice is required by section 2(a)(4) of Executive Order 11988 for Floodplain Management, and is implemented by DOE regulations found at 10 CFR Part 1022 for the proposed action that is within and/or affects a floodplain.

The Long Island Green Homes Program of the Town of Babylon has determined that the Project will not adversely affect the floodplain’s ability to contain floodwaters or exacerbate flooding conditions within the project or its immediate vicinity.

This notice with a request for comment was mailed to the regional office of the New York State Department of State Office of Coastal, Local Government, and Community Sustainability; Federal Emergency Management Agency; and New York State Emergency Management Office.

The Long Island Green Home Program of the Town of Babylon provided a public comment period which expired on March 3, 2010. No comments were received; therefore the Green Homes Program of the Town of Babylon has no practical alternative than to approve the Projects. Thisactivity will have no significant impact on the environment.

Additional information may be obtained by contacting: Amanda Salerno or Michelle Nadboy (Project Managers) at 631-422-4411.

Written comments must be received by Long Island Green Homes at the following address on or before March 25, 2010: Long Island Green Homes, 281 Phelps Lane, Room 16, North Babylon, NY 11703 Attention: Amanda Salerno and Michelle Nadboy, Project Managers.
