Our Lady of the Rosary Council No.4428 in Deer Park sponsored a Council Free Throw Championship on Jan. 23 at SS. Cyrils & Methodius gymnasium. Participants competed in both boys and girls age groups. Each participant was allowed three practice shots and was then scored on the best of 15 shots.

The winners standing, left to right, are Aria Laucella - female-13, Joey Zeltmann - male-12, Matthew Martinez -male -11, Justin Laucella - male 10 and Stephen Byrne – male - 14). Thewinners are advancing to the District championship where their score is based on 25 baskets.
