On Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 2 to 4 PM a presentation about the Babylon Village Historic Fountain Reconstruction Project will be presented at the Babylon Village Museum (117 W. MAin St.) All in the community are welcome to hear about this exciting project. Christopher Proto, Co chair of the committee along with Judy Skillen, will offer an informative powerpoint presentation about the history of the fountain and the committee's efforts to date to raise funds for the project. The fountain will be a replica of the one that once stood on the southwest corner of Main St and Fire Island Avenue at the turn of the century. Theoriginal 10 foot high fountain provided drinking access for "man and beast."
