Scholars in the News •Brian M. Carley, of Babylon, was named top the dean’s list at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, New York for the spring semester. He is a member of the class of 2011 and majoring in history/adolescent education. •Paige T. Engeldrum, of West Islip, began studies as a first- year student at Hamilton College, Clinton, New York. She is the daughter of Paula and John Engeldrum. •Kaur Bauer, of North Babylon, began studies at Alfred State College, Alfred, New York. •Christina E. Hedley, of Lindenhurst, received a bachelor of science in criminal justice and a bachelor of science in legal studies from the University of New Haven in August. •The following students were admitted to Bryant University, Smithfield, Rhode Island: Jennifer Jacob of Deer Park, Nathaniel Larson of West Islip and Matthew Los Kamp and Matthew Pryzby of Babylon. •Megan Quarant, of North Babylon was honored as a College Scholar at Elizabethtown Çollege in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. •Holy Trinity High School announced its honor rolls for the first academic quarter of the 2009/2010 school year.
