Longtime West Babylon resident, John Van Leeuwen, died from heart failure on Jan. 11, 2010 at the East Neck Nursing Home in West Babylon. He was 88, the son of the late Teun Van Leeuwen and Gertruida Bloemendaal Van Leeuwen and stepson of the late Albertha Bloemendaal Van Leeuwen.
