You’ve heard of 5 Star restaurants and movies - there are also 5 Star Post Offices. West Babylon Post Office recently earned a bronze five-star rating as part of the Postal Service’s 5 Star Customer Service Program. Ratings are based on surveys by the Gallup Organization. To earn a bronze award a post office has to receive the 5 Star Award for four postal quarters in a row.

“Our goal is to provide our customers with excellent service,” said Babylon Postmaster John Lunghi. “Now we’ve got the bronze 5 Star Award to back it up.”

The Gallup Organization surveyed Postal Service customers, asking them to rate local Post Officeson efficiency, accuracy of delivery, clerk information consistency of delivery and wait-timein line. West Babylon Post Office receives “Excellent” ratings, earning the bronze 5 Star Customer Service Award.

Customers entering the West Babylon Post Officewill know it too. Each office earning 5 Star status receives a sign for its door and all employees receive 5 Star lapel pins in recognition of the rating.

“We’re really honored to receive this rating,” said Lunghi. “It shows that our customers value the excellent service West Babylon postal employees provide.”
