Dear Editor:

Is there a difference between underperforming past and present Nassau elected officials who used taxpayer money to grant themselves exorbitant pay increases, and the financial scheming of past and present bank executives who used taxpayer money to give themselves extravagant bonuses?

Is there an indifference demonstrated by both our elected legislators and big bank executives towards the people they serve?

The answers are obvious. The solution is just as obvious.

An indifferent populace can make the difference by using the power of their voice, virtue and vote.
