Danielle Orenzow appreciates the charm of Islip’s Main Street, but she saw there was room for improvement so she contacted the Islip Chamber of Commerce with a proposed plan. Many of the tree wells along the street were overgrown with tall weeds, giving a shabby look to the otherwise picturesque town.
