Keep Islip Clean Junior Commissioners (JCs) have launched their annual Sneaker Recycling Drive and are now collecting old sneakers for donation to NIKE’s Reuse-A-Shoe program. TheJCs have set a goal of 5,000 sneakers, which will be shipped to NIKE and made into tracks and other athletic surfaces for donation to disadvantaged communities.
