Lindenhurst Village to layoff workers to close projected deficit
Along with trimming its holiday tree this December, Lindenhurst Village will trim its budget-—and its public works staff. In an effort to close a budget shortfall, the Village will lay off five employees from the public works department, hoping, said officials to be able to hire them back in the spring. Thelayoffs will save more than $30,000, according to the Sean Cullinane, Village Clerk.
