Principal Dan Hunter and the faculty and staff at West Islip’s Paul J. Bellew Elementary School held their second annual Painted Pumpkin Contest and fundraiser for the building’s Cares & Shares Club. S t u d e n t s voted for their favorite painted pumpkin by dropping a nickel in the bag marked with a number that correlated to the pumpkins’ numbers.
