The rumblings from Democratic quarters in Mineola are that the outgoing Democratic majority got the mes­sage in November’s election and are considering repeal­ing the very unpopular home energy tax. While this is a good move for the residents of Nassau County, who are burdened with high taxes, it is too little, too late for the Democrats.
