Richard Solat, Babylon resident, and N.B. art teacher

Richard Solat, a resident of Babylon and a teacher, died on Nov. 4th 2009 of lung cancer. He was 81 years old. His daughter describes him as a quiet and peaceful man who enjoyed his life. “People would say he was the funniest man they ever knew,” said his daughter Nancy Lemble. “He loved the quiet life and filled his time with yard work and gardening.”
