Deer Park resident Julia Boss had a very exciting twirling season. First she was named the 2009 New York State 11-year-old Solo and Dance Twirl Champion as well as the Juvenile 2 Baton Champion. She then travelled to Tucson, Arizona in July for the National Championships, where she captured the 11-year-old USTA National Strut and 2 Baton Titles. To top it off,Julia was then named the 2009 National 2 Baton Juvenile Grand Champion, the highest honor you can receive at the National Championships. She was honored for her achievements by the Babylon Town Board at a recent board meeting.
