Town's study shows sex offender registry inaccurate and out of date

A two-year review by the Town of Babylon of the New York State Registry for convicted sexual offenders has shown that the registry is at best out-of-date and at worst doing little or nothing to track and monitor that those offenders are not living near schools, parks, day care centers and nursery schools and other child-related facilities.
