The race for the Suffolk County 11th legislative district is heating up. Incumbent Republican Tom Barraga is charging that his Democratic opponent, Jim Alcus, is not fit for the job, and points to a list of legal issues that he says are plaguing the first-time candidate. Meanwhile, Alcus said Barraga is simply “desperate,” after being defeated in his bid for two minor party lines.
