Hon. Jack J. Cannavo, a Supreme Court Justice who retired in 1976, died, Sept. 21. He was 86 and a resident of Deer Park since 1961. He was described by those who worked with him professionally as a “Judge’s judge” and a man who understood the importance of his work, took it seriously but never forgot that he was human.
