The Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society will hold a lantern light tour, Sat., Oct. 3, 6 to 8 p.m. Tours leave at 15 minute intervals. Enjoy an escorted lantern light walk along the beach and through the swale as stationed interpreters unfold the stories of the United States Life Saving Service and Fire Island Light Station. Enjoy the beach during the harvest moon phase.
