Lindenhurst’s West Gates Avenue Elementary School recently held a special Flag Day ceremony to unveil the school’s new ceramic tile flag, created by using the imprints of students’ hands. The West Gates students enjoyed a musical interlude by the fifth-grade band, and then the flag was officially unveiled. All students and staff then enjoyed a round of patriotic songs.
