Longtime Babylon Village resident and fire department member Richard Kuhnapfel died Aug. 28, 2009. He was 83. Born in Jamaica, Queens, he was a graduate of Babylon schools who went on to serve in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He spent most of his life in Babylon Village.
