As the season draws to a close, and the playoffs are within reach – at least as a wild card candidate – the Ducks are stocking up on talent for the remaining weeks. The Ducks acquired pitcher Drew Shetrone from the Joliet JackHammers of the Northern League in exchange for future considerations. Shetrone, 24, was 3-1 with a 2.68 ERA in 48 appearances this season.
