In 1966, Merritt Thurlow and her husband left Babylon to l ive in Ai ken, South Carolina. The couple always returned to Babylon Village every year, however, to spend time with family and friends, and always held Babylon close to their hearts. Merritt W. Thurlow, 82, died peacefully at her home in Silver Spring, Mar yland, Sept. 8, 2009.
