Frances Hodgson Bongiovanni raised her three children on her own but always worked hard to make sure they had the best shoes and clothing, and the best educational opportunities. “She sacrificed everything for us,” said her son, Gordon Hodgson of West Islip. Mrs. Bongiovanni died Aug. 18, 2009. She was 92 years old.
