Longtime Babylon Village resident and loving family matriarch Helen E. McCarthy died May 12, 2009 after a long battle with pulmonary disease. She was 81, and loved best to spend time with her family. Born in Queens, in addition to caring for her family and home, she was a professional chef who worked in several restaurants and catering halls.
