The Lindenhurst Historical Society quarterly meeting will be held Tues., June 23, 7:30 p.m. at Chateau La Mer, 845 South Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst. At the meeting new officers and Board of Directors will be elected. The budget will have been audited. You will be able to receive your yearbook by attending.

The program will be honoring Evelyn (Nudy) Ellis for her 40 years of service as Village historian. Over the years she has held many positions on the Boards of the Old Village Hall Museum, LIRR Restored Station, Freight House and Caboose under the auspices of the Lindenhurst Historical Society. Coffee and cake will be served.

You can visit the LIRR Depot this summer for a free guided tour of the depot, freight house and caboose on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. The Old Village Hall is open all year round at the same times. Dues can be paid at the meeting, which are $5 per year and $30 for a lifetime membership.
