Registration is underway for summer programs offered by the North Babylon Community Youth Services during regular office hours of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Babylon Youth Center, 213 Phelps Ln., North Babylon. For information, call 631- 422-0333.

Programs for the differing age groups are as follows:

•A mini camp for elementary school children will run for six weeks beginning July 6. Sessions run, Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1 to 4 p.m. In addition there is a dance or sports camp, Monday to Friday, 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. for six weeks. There is a soccer clinic , 10 to 11:30 a.m. for kindergarten to third grade and 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for fourth through sixth grade, Monday to Friday for six weeks. There are also one-day per week workshop programs in embroidery, self defense, dessert making, sports activities, cooking, crafts, yoga and art & fun and games. Those who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade are eligible.

•Workshops for middle and high school students, in grades six through 12 will include photography, self defense and painting/drawing. This year's drama production Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jr. Students who have completed fifth through ninth grade can register to be in the play. Students in grades 10 through 12 can volunteer to assist in the production as stage crew, set design, acting coaches, musicians, choreographers and lighting. Students who have completed grade five to eight can participate in the open gym program Tuesday through Thursday, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Students will play various gym games and have access to the game room.

•Once again trips will be offered. The groups is going to Splish Splash, Adventureland, L azer Kingdom and Boomers for those who enjoy amusement parks. Other trips include two trips to the Long Island Ducks, Selden Go Carts/Batting Range, Islip Mini Golf, Tiki Action Park and Country Fair, fishing trips, the Atlantis Aquarium, roller skating, bowling and Cradle of Aviation Museum with an IMAX movie.
