Ducks games to be broadcasted online

The Ducks reached an agreement with the Interactive Broadcast Network (iBN), an Internet-based broadcast television network, to broadcast all their remaining home games.

The streaming video is on the team's website at www.LIDucks.com and was available starting June 8.

"This is a tremendous step for us," said Mike Pfaff, the team's general manager. "iBN has certainly evolved into one of the major players on the streaming video scene and will help us expand our presence in the market.

The Ducks became the third team in the Atlantic League to sign with iBN, joining Lancaster and Southern Maryland. The company, which plans to stream about 1,000 videos in 2009, also broadcasts games in the American Association, Frontier, Northern, Can Am and New England Collegiate Baseball Leagues.

"We have been pursuing the Ducks since before the 2008 season," said Ed Hart, iBN's baseball executive producer. "They are one of the premier independent league teams in the country, and have a great reputation for bringing in talented players on their way up, and former Major Leaguers looking for another shot."
