Student selected for ES BOCES honor

Brentwood UFSD senior Erica Drummond, who is also a student at Eastern Suffolk BOCES Bellport Academic Center (BAC) and Brookhaven Technical Center (BTC), was chosen out of more than 300 students to represent her peers at the ES BOCES annual meeting. "Erica is a tremendous all-around student, is the past president and current vice president of BAC Student Government, has competed statewide for Skills USA, and will graduate this June," explained Principal Foreman. "I am proud to have watched her grow into an independent and mature young lady with limitless potential." Erica was chosen to lead the pledge at the Annual Meeting, introduced by Mr. Bixhorn, who added that it was a pleasure to congratulate her and wish her well as she continues her studies in the fall in college. Themeeting was held at BAC. The18-year-old plans to become a special education teacher.
