Dear Editor:

Having just received the newspaper, as I now live in Florida, I was delighted to see your editorial "Government control is not always the answer." I would like to say that government control is usually not the answer.

Your editorial was simple and to the point. The story of the Island Jeep dealer having his business taken from him by the current administration is a prime example of what happens under government control. I wonder if the government is paying him for his dealership as I'm sure the dealer had to pay Chrysler when he purchased it? Private industry creates 75 percent of the jobs in the United States. What does government create but more bloat? I think we need to put government on a diet. That means having term limits and taking away all the perks after leaving office that our Congressmen and Senators now enjoy.

We are abdicating our freedom every time we vote for people who are willing to tax us for their new agenda, which doesn't represent the people. Watch what happens to health care. Contact your Congressperson and Senator.
