Nancy Reese Former Babylon Village resident Nancy Reese died April 3, 2009 after fighting her second battle with cancer. She was 56 and died in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born in Amityville on May 8, 1952 and grew up in Babylon Village. She graduated from Babylon Schools and met her husband in college. About 20 years ago, she fought and beat cancer, only to have it return about six years ago. She lived long enough to see her two grandsons born and enjoy them for a season, said her family. According to her family, in spite of her illness, she inspired them with her constant good nature, resolute will and tender love for all.

Mrs. Reese leaves behind her husband Michael E.; her children, Matthew M. and Bethany L. Anspach and her husband Scott, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her grandsons Luke and Nathan also survive her.

A memorial was held at the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Leo, Indiana on April 5, 2009. Funeral Arrangements were handled by D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
