Lindenhurst man charged in burglaries

Suffolk County Police have arrested a Lindenhurst man who committed a series of burglaries over the past few months.

Fourth Squad detectives, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, arrested Robert Fransecky, 43, in Floral Park June 3, and charged him with an outstanding parole violation warrant. Further investigation found Fransecky responsible for two residential burglaries in Smithtown, one in Commack and one in St. James.

Fransecky was charged with three counts of Burglary 2nd Degree and one count of Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree. He was also charged with Grand Larceny in connection with credit card theft from a Lindenhurst location.

Detectives are continuing the investigation to determine if Fransecky is involved in other crimes. He was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 5.
